temperature or strength is especially important in taping—27 tape
provides a stable, rugged binding. Extremely high tensile strength
and thermosetting adhesive afford long lasting dependability.
Glass cloth backing will not shrink, rot or burn.

49 tape is used for EMI and moisture protection and provides an effective
moisture barrier on communications cable splices. It also acts as a splicing
shield to reduce cross talk and high frequency radiation. Aluminum foil
with adhesive, in tape form, makes 49 tape usable for many applications.

69 tape is used for high temperature and high strength requirements.
The 69 tape is a 7.5 mil (0.19 mm) tape with thermosetting silicone
adhesive that performs at temperatures of up to 185°C (366°F). Can be
used in heat shrink applications. Meets requirements of MIL-1-79766C and
has UL recognized component listing for 200°C (392°C).

77 tape is used for ?re and arc protection of cable sheath material.
The formulation of 77 tape allows the manufacturing of an unsupported
elastomer that expands in ?re to provide a thick insulating ?rewall
between the cable and ?re. It is thin, ?exible and conforming, wrapping
easily around irregularly-shaped accessories. It is self extinguishing and
arc resistant.
